About El Saucier

Chef-Driven Mexican Street Food

Built on technique, driven by flavor, and rooted in the belief that street food deserves the same discipline as fine dining.

Chef Javier Vidaurreta, founder of El Saucier, grew up in Mexico City surrounded by food and learning early under the influence of his grandmother’s kitchen.

His path later took him through cafes in Mexico City and eventually restaurants across Europe before formal training at Le Cordon Bleu San Francisco. Between travels through Mexico and years spent working in kitchens abroad, Javier developed a cooking style rooted equally in tradition and technique. After years working in professional kitchens, Javier spent nearly a decade as a private chef in the Bay Area, refining his craft and developing a deep passion with sauces and layered flavor.

As friends and clients kept requesting his sauces and food, what began as private cooking evolved into something larger.

That vision became El Saucier - A chef-driven fine dining Mexican street food and catering company serving the Bay Area.
